The orcs catapulted mangled heads of dead Gondorians into Minas Tirith. How about catapulting the tormented souls of deceased enemies back to their loved ones? This could be a less powerful, but psychologically devestating version of the ghost-bomb. Anyway, the idea of a PC trying to start his very own realm of undead is interesting. What levels are you playing at now? (OD&D? AD&D?) Where is you nosferatu wannabe king active? The character is a 33rd(OD&D) level Alphatian thief. we played through some of the events of WOTI, he was away from Alphatia when it sank. He was already following Hel but had been involved in events that upset her and was punished, on the verge of a slow death he called out to Nyx to save him and swore undying loyalty to her. she made him a Nosferatu. he has since been wandering the world spreading undeath. when he began his quest for immortality, under Nyx sponsorship she set him on the path of the defiler (my creation) one part of which requires him to modify a large area of land and give it a unique range of inhabitants. He decided to create an empire of the undead. he began south of Mivosia in the dessert. since this area is sparsely inhabited and unlikely to attract too much attention too soon. his plan is to take the City States, Emerond, and the Jungle Coast south of the Hinterlands, as far as the Manacapuru tribelands. needless to say he will end up clashing with Thyatis, but then, he is Alphatian.
