Hi all! I just started playing NeverWinter Nights and the first thing I thought was what had the people of the Mystara NWN project done. For may dismay I found out all the links to Mystara modules broken and the Realms of Mystara website down. The project moved somewere else or is it really down? By the way I found I server named Glantri City some days ago but have been unable to contact the owner. Is someone in the list involved with this server? Regards Ricardo Matheus a.k.a. I've been trying to contact Jonathan Nolan (who recruited me into the project) with no luck. He usually frequented this list as well, but I've seen nothing from him since the site went down. If you would like to talk about NWN and Mystara you can contact me privately. I've been working on "cultural" content for NWN. Creating clothing, armor, weapons, etc for some of the various Mystaran nations/cultures. So far I've got quite a bit for Thyatis and Karameikos (and some for Darokin, Alfheim, and Ylaruam). That content is still available at: http://www.geocities.com/chimpman.geo/NWN/NWNindex.html There are also images you can look at before downloading anything. You could also do a search at NWNVault in the module section for Volcano, and Alphaks, who were quite prolific in module creation. I have some of their beta files if you can't find anything there. You could also try searching based on module title as I know several people (not all part of the NWN Mystara Project) have remade/translated many of the classic B series modules. My current NWN project is the village of Marilenev around 970 (just after the failed revolt). So far I've got a little inn and several side quests going. I would love it if anybody on this list wanted to help out. It might even be nice if anyone just wanted to "hang out" at the inn for a while and discuss things Mystaran. Kinda like a "visual chat room." >> By the way I found I server named Glantri City some days ago but have been unable to contact the owner. I will not use any plan in which the final step is horribly complicated, e.g. "Align the 12 Stones of Power on the sacred altar then activate the medallion at the moment of total eclipse." Instead it will be more along the lines of "Push the button." from "A Guide to Becoming an Evil Overlord" by Peter Anspach __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Karameikos? I thought it was Glantri, but it was for the old ROM project. Funny, it seems there are 2 groups @ work! BTW, we still have all the prep work done here [i was one of the members = of=20 the project but i could not manage to follow it due to school] if smb is=20 interested... You can get all 4 of the DA modules in PDF format fairly cheap. I recently got them myself. http://www.svgames.com/downloads > I have seen at least 4 copies of X1 at local stores. Maybe I'll pick that > up, too. Anyway, thanks again. Regards. For a good overview of the Mystaran Known World, I'd also recommend X10, which involves PCs conducting diplomacy to every KW nation to rally allies for a war between Darokin and the Master of the Desert Nomads. ------------------------------ End of MYSTARA-L Digest - 5 Nov 2002 to 6 Nov 2002 (#2002-289) **************************************************************
