Ii's a pity I don't have enough time to do more than lurking on this list. So my only post in a couple of years is this ad! I sell a Poor Wizard's Almanac on E-Bay, which is in quite a good shape. Some signs of use are on the front and back cover. Anybody interested, look at: http://cgi.ebay.de/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1712147717 Thank you. P.S.: I hope such ads are still approriate for this lst. If not please let me know. ********** Mag. From: "Alex Benson" > Events are coming out this month right? Any date yet? I have been rereading the last MA...to sorta get caught back up on things. Boy did that bring back some memories. Any updates from the MA folks? I'm still editing them. Takes time. The release date is: when the editing is done. I am glad there is anticipation over the MA, and discussion or derivative work based on it. ===== ___________________________________________________________ Herve Musseau http://www.geocities.com/hmusseau/ __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I recall the editing time and how draining it can be. I am anxious to see this latest volume of events. However, I am also curious to see what has become to my old duties and plots. Rereading last years MA I was reminded of some last minute changes made to some of my events. I am still a wee bit miffed about the changes to the Milenian/Materan plot. But hey, I quit towards the end of thta MA year and am not onboard for this year so I cannot say anything. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 9 Mar 2002 15:07:12 -0700 From: Angelo Bertolli Subject: Mystara MUD: Swords of Selenica I've dabbled a bit with a SMAUG MUD on my computer, and have made a few = modifications to it. Does anyone have any information on the city itself? Selenica is Darokins, Gateway to the east, it has the largest Dwarven community outside of Rockhome, the Eastern Portion of the City looks like it was a part of the Ylaraum Emirate, while the southern portion of the City has a Traladaran feel to it. It should have a pretty good sized elven community due to the Alfheim Exiles possibly living there. Selenica is like visiting 4 countries in one city, The dominant merchants house in Selenica is Hallonica and Al-Azrud. It's nearing communities is Parsa to the far east through a mountain Pass, Fort Hobart to the north, which protects Selenica from Orcland incursions, and Reedle to the South which is a gateway to the Duchy (Or Kingdom of Karameikos depending on where you are setting the adventure, before, during or after the Wrath of the Immortals.) The city should have a pretty good sized Thieves guild, and two great merchant house complete with Storage houses Good Luck, Mktriton, Loremaster of Darokin and the WDL. If I get the MUD modified to where I think it's ready, I'll let everyone know, and ask if anyone wants to help build for it. I don't know if you can purchase ESDs or not, but if you can it shouldn't cost that much to get a lot of the gingival modules. The cover doesn't have the Mystara logo, but it does use the same font for the "Dungeons & Dragons" logo found on the Rules Cyclopedia and CoM. Also, the synopsis mentions "the Prophet, Al Kalim" so it sounds like it's set in Ylaruam ... but I've never heard of it before. The ESD page also says it is "a Dungeons and Dragons game adventure, designed for a party of 4-6 first level characters." Any info would be appreciated, Jenni -- Jenni A. M.
