Here is my version of Dewey's classification system for Glantri's Library and possible course selections for the GSoM. (snip used ad libitum) 010 Bibliography If we mold Glantri after a general fantasy Middle Ages setting, Bibliography was quite underdeveloped. Organizing (and thus finding) a book was to the whims of the librarians in office. Some catalogues were kept, but they used to be partial and at times encrypted or symbolical (think Name of the Rose). 070 New media, journalism, publishing I guess that would be fantasy "new media", like Phantasmal Forces, automata and similar constructs 090 Manuscripts & rare tomes That's the traditional quirk... how widespread is the usage of the printing press in Mystara?? Some sources point to its underdevelopment when compared to RW 15th / 16th Century (maybe it was closer to Middle Ages Chinese typeset), others show a halfling merrily printing copies of an infamous AC1013 Almanac... Also, I could see Glantrians using magically bound creatures or constructs to mechanically copy manuscripts 130 Paranormal phenomena What's "paranormal" for a Glantrian... I guess that nothing shorter of the Day of Dread would fit ;-) 290 Other & comparative magics 400 Language Besides your comprehensive list, it would be expected from the GSoM to have at least one section on planar languages (like different Elemental talks). 570 Life sciences Again, I could see here some space devoted to non-material plane "physiologies" and to Undead "thanatology". That could be linked to medicine (Glantri's medical materials would be bigger than the average Mystaran library, given their reject of clerical healings). 900 Geography & history Again, planar geographies and travels?? Last but not least, a respectful and venerable library like the GSoM's would have an "Inferno" and a couple "banned collections"... Banned collections in Glantri would be pretty obvious: anything dealing directly with religion and Immortals other than Rad. Inferno is the traditional term for a section of a library (normally quite restricted, at least in older centuries) dealing with intense sexual matters. Librarians try to keep the access quite... private. In Glantri, given some powers of Witchcraft / Wokanism, as well as the possibility of Valerias involvement in some text, the potential for such a collection in a Glantrian campaign could be high.
