You could add Zuyevo to that list as well, given its ties to Renardy. Zuyevo of course doesn't have much of a navy in the Yalu Bay (a few dozen ships) and would not want to sail its main fleet from Archangelsk unless it had to (they would have to go all the way around the Arm of the Immortals) but still the Renardois fleet could be dangerous. Not so sure. The LB is getting squeezed on the Savage Coast by Texeiras and Vilaverde and in the Yalu Bay by Renardy and Zuyevo. The LB would want armed help from Cimarron and might just hire Yavdlom, Slag or Hulean mercs to pound the Vilaverdan and Texeiran home ports until they give up a percentage of the trade. But Renardy probably would try to forte > it's way > into the Yalu Bay, even if this means an war against Vilaverde, simply > because they spent some money in the zuyevan conquer of Richland, because > of > Preuve and because of the oportunities of profit they would lost. Renardy would ask Zuyevo for help - and Zuyevo could send marines to bolster the defence of Preuve or to attack Porto Maldicao. > But > Renardy probably would lost this war (after an epic battle on the Strait of > Yalu, pehaps?), and Portos would take the control of Preuve as an > retaliation, helping even more this new barony to consolidate itself and > even became an sea power in a near future Quite possible. Isnt that a bit pricey for a softcover book? In any case I am really looking forward to seeing the final product. And let us know about those articles, other teasers and previews you want to share with us! Mystara will return! Havard ______________________________________________________ Få den nye Yahoo! Another source for mercs would be Kastelios - it's not too far from the region, and it has ties with Yavdlom and Sind, and quite possibly some with Slagovich, too.
