[was: Alignements...] One test said "lawful good elf bard" the other "neutral good elf ranger". I always thought I'd be a lawful neutral/good human fighter. Guess I'm not so far from that. 8-) Iulius Sergius Scaevola Captain of the XXth Cohort Port Lucinius, Thyatis ______________________________________________________________________ Yahoo! What I realized is that the Player's Guide is really useful for running 3E campaigns with Mystara. In fact I am probably going to import about 50% of the book directly into my campaign and the other 50% will probably be used aswell, with some modifications. The Shaman class is ideal for representing both the Ethengar Shamans and the Athruagin Shamani. The other classes aren't strictly neccesary, but most of them fit well into the Known World. I probably wont use the races, although the Dark Elf doesnt have to be changed much to be a perfect fit for our own Shadow elves. The Prestige classes have to be changed a bit but provide alot of good ideas for Mystara equivalents. The Feats, skills, spells, equipment and magic items are all easily imported. Sorry if this sounds like im on Kenzer Co's payroll, but I was just excited at how this is the Mystara 3E booklet we never saw in print... I just killed off my last D&D campaign the other day. It was one of those unpretentious campaigns focused perhaps too much on hack n' slash. It was set in Selenica. I discussed with my players what they wanted to do next and we decided to move the campaign to another part of Darokin (somewhere west of Alfheim), and with a tad more focus on toleplaying. Anyways, I need campaign ideas, adventure ideas, anything. I was thinking about using some of the Westerlands campaign stuff posted by Mystaros a few weeks ago, but I havent decided yet. Any creative input is appreciated! :) Havard ______________________________________________________ Få den nye Yahoo! Havard: How about these ideas for campaigning in Darokin: - Dealing with intrigue between the houses controlling Corunglain, Akorros, and Darokin City. - IIRC, GAZ 11 mentioned that Akorros was rife with crime (ie: the thieves' guild has a lot of pull there - the PCs could be charged with the task (or forced into it) of uncovering a conspiracy, or something less dire, but nonetheless something that hold legitimate merchants under a pall of fear. - The PCs could explore ruins dating from the times of the Eastwind dynasty, or perhaps during the period when Darokin was fragmented (prior to the Great Merger) - there could have been many now-forgotten duchies, baronies and lesser realms occupying what is now the Streel Plain. Perhaps someone with an axe to grind against the Powers That Be is trying to locate an artefact or other valuable magic item said to lie hidden in some ruins (once the capital of some minor state, now vanished), in order to use it to "resurrect" one of these lost realms. This person could be doing it out of spite, out of honest patriotism (perhaps he or she is the last descendant of a fallen royal line, and wishes to reclaim his or her birthright), or because they are being manipulated by a more malign force (such as Hule) wishing to sow discord in Darokin. - The borderlands are always suitable places for adventure - 'nuff said. - The PCs could be tasked with guarding a merchant caravan through eastern Sind, or Atruaghin lands. Hope this helps!
