But it's curious that there aren't any narvaezans religious > outposts at the Savage Coast, bringing the word of Ixion to the natives. Torreon has no access to the sea, so the Torreoner can't get supplies easily. As for Narvaez, they've been too busy with internal strife and baronial wars. Missionaries, though, are likely to be quite common--possibly the Lawful Brotherhood could have been a Narvaezan missionary attempt.. > Just reformulating an old question, the "Ispan" (and Belcadizian) culture > would be the spanish culture, and "Espa" culture would be the "latin > american" culture, the spanish with many amerindian elements, right? More or less. Belcadiz is a more modern culture than Ispan, and Espa includes Narvaez and Saragon, which are definitely Spanish, not Latin American. BTW, a reason why Pyre has not yet extended his influence to the Arm of the Immortal might be the presence of the only other Dragons of the Savage Coast (the Red Hawk Dragons). Also, orcs are not so easy to subjugate: even some tribes of the Eastern Orclands are quite rebellious and resent Pyre's rule to the point that they do not hinder the Robrennian efforts to recover the Ebon Eye. Bye, GP -- di nuovo come un tempo sopra l'Italia intera urla il vento e soffia la bufera ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 7 Jun 2003 19:03:04 -0300 From: Asgor Ironfist Subject: =?iso-8859-1?B?UmU6IFtNWVNUQVJBXSBRdWVzdGlvbnMsIFBvcnRvIE1hbGRp52FvIGFu?= =?iso-8859-1?B?ZCBQb3J0byBFc2NvcnBpYW8=?= Hi everyone Yes, Giampaolo, i think you're right about Pyre and the Western Orclands. But since it's quite difficult for him to take the control of this region, let then became slaves might be an kind of punishment, pehaps... and not all this orcs are completely aganst Pyre, son some of them might became spyes for Pyre at Nimmur, and incite the others to revolt as well, making everything easier, i think. About "Espa" and "Ispan"... so, what's the difference between the two? No difference, pehaps? Well, in the real world, the majority of the Spanish conquests in America was financed by wealthy bourgeois, and not by the Spanish Crown. Therefore, Tórreon does not need too finance an torreóner expansion, but only officialize it. Also, the access to the sea can be easily achieved through Teixeiras. There, it's not difficult to get ships made to conquer "savage" areas of the Savage Coast ready to be rent. The same goes to Narvaez, due to the official records that mentions the great number Narvaezan knights who leave in quixotic missions to bring the word of Ixion by the sword to the savages. It's very weird the fact that there is no regions conquered by Tórreon or Navaez in the Savage coast by private initiative.
