We are finishing up our last rounds of editing for "Liber Mysterium: The Netbook of Witches and Warlocks" and I would like to open it up to playtesters. The yahoo group is at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nbownw-playtest/. Note: The book is not being released yet. So it is not covered under the OGL yet. It will be released free to the net and to everyone, and it will all (except for some minor sections) be OGC. By joining this group you are agreeing to the following. 1. Not to distribute any copies of the playtest material. Copies may be distributed within your group but by no other means. 2. Playtest material is not released under the OGL. Content is not considered open until official release. If you wish to use any of this material under the OGL before the official release please contact me. 3. It is not required but expected that you'll provide feedback to the group. There is something in this book for every group, and I want every playing group to have a chance to use something from it. I am aiming for an October 31st, 2003 release. Thanks, Tim Brannan, Author and Team Leader, Netbook of Witches and Warlocks. timothy.brannan@comcast.net web.warlock@comcast.net ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 14 Aug 2003 16:47:05 EDT From: Alex Benson Subject: Re: Hel's demotion in WoTI I guess what I am really asking is...was the truth about the Balthac Cult made known to the general populace following Wrath? We had discussed this some time back for some of the MA plots...part of a movement to bring old open plots back into play. The current thread reminded me of it. My interest in the Hel situation is in the public knowledge of the matter. The extent of public knowledge of the whole matter was one of the points of contention left unresolved. Ironically, the public knowledge had more to do about the discovery of the Lightning Zombies than it had to do about Balthac. I am not the biggest fan of Wrath, most of the MML can attest to that. In my opinion, its plots have alot of holes in them and alot of the national events are out of character and scripted into happening. I won't go into detail on this as it has been discussed to death and usually turns into a flame war. That said, I would think that something could be said for Thanatos assuming the hierarchy for Entropy. Wrath was as much about change as it was about anything, change from the Gaz Era to the "new Mystara". Unfortunately, the new Mystara never really got past the transition stage before the line was halted by TSR. ------------------------------ End of MYSTARA-L Digest - 13 Aug 2003 to 14 Aug 2003 (#2003-198) ****************************************************************
