I am pleased to announce that the Atlas (Book I) of the Mystaran Almanac, for the year AC 1019, is now available for download at the following URL: almanac.starflung.com/files.htm You may download this file as an .rtf document (it's about 290 kB in size zipped, the graphics can be downloaded in a separate 5 MB zipped file), or as a wonderful .pdf document (7 MB zipped). The .rtf version is recommended if you simply wish to have a copy as a simple reference guide; the .pdf is better suited as a continuation of the PWA series (complete with a fold-out colour map! - you supply the paper, though). We listened to many of your comments last year, and I'd like to think that we have addressed as many of them as we could. We have used consistent, readable fonts throughout the book, saving fancier fonts for titles only, and Chris Furneaux has developed covers for the .pdf version that are strongly reminiscent of the old PWA series, complete with helpful summary information on the back cover, so you know ahead of time which atlas entries have been substantially updated from the previous year. But of course, I'd like you to be the judge of that. :-) So, without further ado, please make your way to the site mentioned above, and check out the latest production. Please let us know what you think of it, because, as this is a volunteer-driven, online community-based project, we want to ensure that the Mystaran Almanac continues to be of interest and of use to you - both as players and DMs. Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to invite any and all Mystarans out there, who are interested in participating in this project, to let us know! If you would like to contribute art, develop 3E stats, write short- or medium-length adventures, draft plotlines, or just suggest ideas to us (we're always looking for those!), you can contact me or Herve. Thank you all, and enjoy! :-) Geoff -- Geoff Gander, BA 97, MPA 02 Carnifex Loremaster/Mad Roleplayer Master of the Elemental Plane of Bureaucracy au998@freenet.carleton.ca : www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Realm/2091 ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 22 Sep 2003 21:55:39 -0500 From: Stone Marshall Subject: Re: Mystaran Almanac (AC 1019) - Atlas Now Available

Very nice. I am looking forward for book 2 and 3. All of the almanacs have proven very helpful and I enjoyed the map at the end. The Cover was outstanding. My wife knew immediatly from across the room that it was a Mystara Almanac from the cover.
