There's an article for Red Steel, and the > Hollow World, and Blackmoor (which, AFAIK, was part of ancient Mystara but > not Greyhawk)...it makes me wonder if they'll be an article on the "normal" > Mystara (the old Known World campaign that wasn't part of the previous > three mentioned). Either way, this is definately news to rejoice over! It certainly isn't bad news... I'd trade mentions of Hollow World, Blackmoor and Red Steel for one article on the Known World, though. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Nov 2003 11:05:55 -0800 From: Joaquin Menchaca Subject: Re: For those who have the PC1 gazeteer > It depends alot on whether Divine Magic comes > directly > from the deity or whether a cleric is actually more > like a wizard, only his ability to cast spells in > the > first place was granted by the Deity. In AD&D2e, there was a distinction drawn in that Clerics and Druids were grouped under the "PREIST" group and that Mages were under the "WIZARD" groups. Wizards had schools of magic, and memorized their spells. Clerics and Druids had spells from Spheres (something borrowed from Dragonlance) and prayed/meditated for spells. In D&D3e, there's a clear distinction for "DIVINE" and "ARCANE" magic. I think there is another category of "PSIONIC". IMC, I also add "RUNIC" and "ALCHEMY". __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Protect your identity with Yahoo!
