I'm writing a massive dwarven history, I've written about 10 word pages already. Unfortunately, it is in Italian and I don't know when I'll translate it. 8-( Anyway, I wanted to know some things: 1) dwarves of the savage coast according to my info, dwarves arrived there around 450 BC, then around 560 AC allied with the Eusdrian. when the new settlers arrived more recently they were absorbed in their culture. is this all there is about them? 2) has anybody ever developed a list/timeline of dwarven kings? 3) any information regarding the dwarven invasion of the five shires? when did this event take place? 4) any information about the Kildarkok dwarves that settled in Norwold, apart from those in CM1 ? Thanks in advance, Giulio ______________________________________________________________________ Yahoo! I suppose so. There are other dwarves in the Savage Coast, specifically the following groups: *Baronial dwarves. Most of them from Clan Montoya, formerly of the Barony of Montoya, now part of Narvaez. They moved out of Narvaez and into various neighbouring baronies, mostly to the south. *Robrenn dwarves. Not many of them, IIRC. *Bellaynish dwarves. These are definitely traditional Rockborn dwarves, probably a colony more recent than the others. > 2) has anybody ever developed a list/timeline of > dwarven kings? Not that I know of. Only a few kings are named (the one of Sardal Pass, the one that caused the senatorial rebellion, a number of Everasts) > 3) any information regarding the dwarven invasion of > the five shires? when did this event take place? I think this is only described in the Five Shires Gazetteer. Will check. > 4) any information about the Kildarkok dwarves that > settled in Norwold, apart from those in CM1 ? CM1 mentions a number of dwarven clans: the ones whose mines are invaded by Gargantua monsters, and those in the outskirts of Oceansend. I don't remember any more references to them, though. It's time for me to start learning, unfortunatly my INT score only gives me one extra language and that has been devoted to Sindarian. 7 more hours before I see the Return of the King! ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 17 Dec 2003 17:31:31 -0000 From: Colin Davidson Subject: Re: Dwarves > > 4) any information about the Kildarkok dwarves that > > settled in Norwold, apart from those in CM1 ? > CM1 mentions a number of dwarven clans: the ones whose mines are invaded > by Gargantua monsters, and those in the outskirts of Oceansend. > > I don't remember any more references to them, though. The clan in CM1 are called Stormhaven, aren't they? Or is that just then name of their clan home? ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 17 Dec 2003 15:50:27 -0500 From: Chris Cherrington Subject: Re: Dwarves > > From: la Volpe >> > 3) any information regarding the dwarven invasion of > the five shires? when did this event take place? The only reference I can find is between 1000 and 600BC, the area to be the shires is periodicaly invaded by orcs, bandits, and dwarves. I would say that this could also be a time to say "Dwarven Bandits" or a renegade clan like the Mordiswerg. ------------------------------ End of MYSTARA-L Digest - 16 Dec 2003 to 17 Dec 2003 (#2003-290) ****************************************************************
