(at least according > to the Conan stories...) Unfamiliar humanoids such as lupins and rakasta might be given a fair chance, but goblinoids would not be. Kobolds, gnolls, trolls, and giants are all present in Vestland and the Soderfjord Jarldoms and wreak a great deal of havoc in those two nations. The general reaction of a warrior from the Northern Reaches who sees a goblinoid type would be to strike first and ask questions later. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 8 Feb 2003 10:50:19 -0800 From: Darth Darknerd Subject: Re: Westerlands stuff Cool. I like the map and peoples ideas. I wanted to change that area around, quite a bit, so that it matches more correctly the native american tribes and also meso american tribes. I wanted to use place names in the language of Nahua, the language spoken by Aztecs, and is still spoken today. One idea that I had was to have the plateau be really magical, in that the area is much bigger inside that it's area outside. Maybe every 8 mile hex is a 24 mile hex instead. As it stands, the area in the plateau is rather cramped, but now with more space, the buffalo can roam. :-) Later I want to explore the Dolphin (or was it Turtle?, I forget) and Viper clans, setting them to be more histocially fascinating. The Viper are rather militant, so I will have to have some safe guards for the Dolphin clan, so that they can survive. I wanted to delve into some historical connection between the tribes in Ierendi as well. --- Automatic digest processor wrote: > ATTACHMENT part 1 message/rfc822 > Date: Sat, 8 Feb 2003 00:00:13 -0800 > From: Automatic digest processor > > Subject: MYSTARA-L Digest - 6 Feb 2003 to 7 Feb > 2003 (#2003-39) > To: Recipients of MYSTARA-L digests > > > There are 15 messages totalling 8141 lines in this > issue. > > Topics of the day: > > 1. Your campaign sounds interesting too. I have never cared much for the Athruaginers, but with your litle twists, I see that this campaign has alot of potential. In my campaign, the Athruaginers were almost wiped out by multiple humanoid invasions and border disputes with Hule controlled Sind. King Doriath saw this as an opportunity and declared Athruagin the new homeland of the misplaced elves of the Known World, founding the new elven kingdom of Doria in the region. I think I posted some of this on this list before, it might even have made it to the starflung site, but im not sure. Not sure if any of this is interesting to you, but maybe it could spawn some ideas :) Håvard ______________________________________________________ Få den nye Yahoo!
