Actually recently, I just got a group, but it's hard keeping the group together due to social mechanics. I think that naturally the starting place would be Ylaruam. I would sprinkle a lot of Ylaruam mini-adventures and single encounters to give the players the Arabian feel. I highly recomend Forgotten Realms Al-Qadim material for further ideas. A lot of the Al-Qadim stuff is available as free downloads (PDF books). The world where the PCs zap into is an Egyptian-like world. For this, I suggest using the Hollow World: Nithia material. A lot of great material for that. Completely different cultures, and even as PCs are starting to get accustomed to one culture, they'll definately realize the difference and know they're "not in Kanas anymore"... The FR even has some material on one Egyptian kingdom, though not as developed. The Dieties and Demigods (or Legends & Lore) present some of the pantheon as well, which might be useful. Lastly, fire elemental magic for some reason is bad in Ylaruam, so the Efreeti would be considered horribly evil creature in Ylari terms. Thus, there can be several campaign hooks for that.
