I find it very useful. It is WIndows only (I have to use my Virtual PC) and can create some strikingly beautiful maps with some practice and time. Of course it does cost between $70-$80. Its GNU licenced freeware that is vector based. I've never used Campaign Cartographer but I've heard that it provides nearly the same amount of map making functionality without a lot of the other features that make CC so complex to understand. The main download site is here: http://www.gryc.ws/autorealm.htm. I started creating a hexagon based symbol set for AutoREALM that was derived from the standard Mystara hex map symbols for it some time ago. I haven't needed to make new hex based maps in some time so I can't remember how far along I got with it, though I'm pretty sure I created symbols for each town/city/fort/&c.. If there is some interest I can probably make the set available for download somewhere. Jenni -- Jenni A. M. I use Photoshop, wich is not vectorial and gives me some amount of work (enough to get me almost at stop right now). But the results (see html in signature below) are identical to that of the Gazs. I have the hexes templates for Photoshop (wich you can use in Ilustrator with almost no trouble). I can send them to anyone interested. Ricardo Matheus a.k.a. Do you (OR ANYONE ELSE!) know of a way to make the symbols in AutoREALM "click" into the center of each hex automatically? As it is now, I wind up with mountains that are inconsistently centered rather than identical-looking hexes. But if there WAS a way to get the symbols to lock into the center of the hex grid (or, even better, to automatically scale to the size of those ever-changing hexes), I would practically pay money to know of it!
