I was always confused, because I had the impression from the Princess Ark articles that cinnabryl gave the powers, but when I got the Red Steel set it said the opposite. It's a shame, though, because though I actually agree with TSR's reasoning, the solution tied cinnabryl down pretty firmly to the Savage Coast.
