There are more Immortals than those which are listed in WoTI. That supplement only lists those which are intimately involved with Mystara. Question: Where are paladins found in Mystara (what cultures, what nations?) Which religions and/or Immortals would they serve? My answers (just off the top of my head): Paladins would probably be found in the more Western European nations of at least Medieval age culture. This would probably be Thaytis, Darokin, Karameikos, and possibly Alphatia and Glantri (if it were legally possible). One Immortal they would surely follow would be Ixion/Solarios, particularly where he is worshipped as a patron of law and good (as opposed to a naturalist Immortal of the sun and life). Again, this would be in Darokin and Thyatis. Any ideas, comments, suggestions? Hi! to your suggestion I would add Paladins in Ylaruam. The faris (knight) was some kind of arabic holy warrior similar to the western paladin... I think that they're even a bit detailed in GAZ2. Certain Antalian deities could also have "devoted warriors", thus it would be possible to encounter a Paladin here and there in the Northern Reaches. Of course, they would like the close-knit support network of feudal-style Paladin and Knightly orders of places like Thyatis and Darokin. In Glantri, they would be probably illegal, for obvious reasons. Even after the Plague, the ban vs. clerics goes only for non-offensive clerical magic. A "clerical fighter" sounds in itself quite offensive for the magocracy. But I remember seein in the Vaults an interesting variant, the Knight of Rad, a warrior sworn to the protection of the Magocracy which instead of clerical spells gets a same-level proficiency in MU spells. In Karamameikos paladin orders would be quite varied, on one sided the Thyatian traditions imported by Stefan, on the other things like the Knights of Halav seem quite prone to encourage the paladin path.
