Some interesting campaign ideas there. A few years ago, I ran a short campaign around Elstidge, just north of the Malpheggi which I intended to direct south into the swamps, but it never got that far. Are you tying this in with the information Mystaros posted on the Westerlands some time ago? It should be available at the Vaults (maps et all), and could be useful for fleshing out the campaign further. I like the idea of the Children of the Alligator. I wish the Darokin and Athruagin gazetteers had been closer tied together. It could especially have improved the Athruagin gaz IMO, as it doesnt feel very connected to the rest of the Known World, or Sindh for that matter. One big issue is whether you intend to have the pcs as mainly Athruaginers, Darokinians or others? In any case you can easily have pcs from the opposite group as the friendly Athruagin native living among the Darokinians, or the Darokinian gone native. Will the Campaign have a black and white theme with one side being the bad guys and the other side the good guys? Or will you try and make it more ambigous with both sides contesting for the same land and having trouble figuring out how to find peace. In the latter case you could have war-mongers on both sides who are the real "evil" characters of the campaign. Some other thoughts: Do the Children of the Gator have Gatorman allies? Perhaps a shaman could have some under his control (charmed) as bodyguards? Especially if the shaman is evil... What is the relationship between the various groups and the undead creatures of the Swamp? Has the same evil shaman made a pact with one of the Wraith Lords of the Swamp? Or is a group of white cloaked hooded Tenobarians a secret society of necromancers? Also, whatabout the Black Dragon of the swamps, introduced in Who is Who Among Dragons? Just a couple of ideas...
