The HK were created by Bruce Heard and developped by him in the Voyage of the Princess Ark serie pulished in the Dragon magazine (#150 to #200).Bruce posted most of his thoughts on the MML and MMB. You can find them on my site or in the Vault of pandius. I am currently working on a Gazetteer for them (The Heldannic Empire). It is made in AC 1020. I have already made 105 pages, but the final result should be about 140 to 150 pages not counting the maps (which are already done for the most part). Don't hesitate to ask more about them to Geoff. He's the one on this list who showed as much interest in them as me. In the published materail, you can find indo on them in the PWA, in the Champions of Mystara, and in the Wrath of the Immortals. Good luck Thibault Sarlat. ICQ 16622177. Nah, flame wars don't happen very often around here, and certainly not if someone makes an honest mistake. There used to be big flame wars about various themes like "should we or shouls we not discuss the excrement of elves" and "who is better Thyatis or Alphatia" (Thyatis of course...). I seem to remember a charming fellow called Jamuga Khan who was involved in many hot (flaming) debates. But that was years ago. Is he still around? The list has been quiet recently, so any discussion is worth having. And since it did not turn into a flame..i am ok with it. I have always been frustrated by the lack of detail of the construction rules in OD&D. What we have works but it is not much detailed. Thibault Sarlat. ICQ 16622177. Alphatia, obviously :-) Those imperialistic Thyatians will pay for their crimes :-) Back to the concrete... I don't know how you call it in english, but concrete was not used until modern times to build great buildings because wasn't invented yet "concrete reinforced by steel", that appeared around the late XIX century, I think, and wasn't widely used before 1950 probably... so I believe it's very difficult that gnomes and dwarves use concrete to make large building, even if they could be the only people in Mystara with enough mining skill to have a lot of steel... but anyway I believe they would prefer to use steel for weapons and stone for building, and use concrete only to reinforce bricks building, like the romans did... they should not have the skills and the means to make "steel and concrete" buildings like we do in modern times... I hope I've been able to explain myself :-) bye Francesco ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 29 Feb 2004 18:37:26 +1100 From: shawn stanley Subject: Re: Heldannic Knights At 05:03 PM 27/02/2004 -0700, you wrote: > Greetings all, I'm new to the list and just returning to Mystara after a > long time away from the setting. > > Can anyone point me to where the Heldannic Knights are developed in > published materials?
