I was wondering if Hulean would be the main trade
langauge, given its power and prestige within the
region?

I was just re-vamping my work done on languages.  The area Hule occupies is heavily tribal from conquered nations.  Hulean as a language is not actually very old in the timeline, and would be a heavy mix of all these tribal dialects.
