The update is that the problems are not resolved yet so nobody but the almanac team gets to read the Adventures book of the 1018 Mystaran Almanac. Too bad, because it features three awesome adventures: It Came from Outer Space, set in Darokin, Legend of the Bronze Warrior, set in Karameikos, and Where Brothers War, set in Esterhold, in a 96-page book that includes new cover artwork and the three adventures and their five associated maps. Now, you were asking for that shameless plug, weren't you? Meanwhile, we're continuing our work on the Events for 1019, time and resources permitting. Now, you know how you can get the new book: join the team--you will also be able to participate in the making of the almanacs, which is reward enough of course. (do you think I would have missed the chance to call for brave new writers?) ===== ___________________________________________________________ Herve Musseau http://www.geocities.com/hmusseau/ __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Freetime, as well as my own past and present absence from the teams, makes participation difficult. If I were accepted back into my old teams, it would take time to catch back up on events. Likewise, there might be problems within the teams as my old positions would currently be filled and new ideas implemented to my old charges. The Adventure Book does draw my interest. Likewise, the time demands of this aspect ofthe Almanac does seem to be more lenient as well as peaceful. I know that I can be hardheaded and difficult to work with in some regards of this setting. I ask to join this branch of the Almanac, but can easily understand if I am not wanted or if my return may cause problems. Anyway, let me know something on this. I am very interested to know how the Adventure Team is organized. What is a template for an adventure? Are the adventures team efforts or solo acts? What relationship does a particular Regional Team have on an adventure's development? Do the adventures have to reflect current events in that year's almanac? What rules are used? This question is more towards adventures that address minor subplots not mentioned in the Almanac Events and do not have a direct bearing on present or future events. ------------------------------ End of MYSTARA-L Digest - 8 Apr 2004 to 9 Apr 2004 (#2004-82) *************************************************************
