As Alfric Oderbry had already been killed many years ago IMC, I didn't have resources for a large schism within the church. So instead of that I had Desmond Melvin maneuver himself to be the leader of the church. Halaran never did seem a likely candidate, as he is so committed to the North. So now the church has moved its main temple to Kelven, and Baron/High Patriarch has much more power than before - including total control of the Griffon Knights (Aleena Halaran's knights have secceeded and formed an independent sect by the blessing of her father). Kelvin is also poised to marry Arteris Penhaligon, and he has moved many of his loyal followers into bishop seats around the country - for example in Vorloi. I've always liked Kelvin, as he is not obviously loyal nor obviously dangerous. He is a man of realpolitik, an opportunist and a quick thinker. Such men are often good friends and dangeroun enemies. BTW, I drafted organisational maps for both churhes for my campaign. With some changes they could be useful to others. Interested? ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 May 2005 21:28:35 +0200 From: Giampaolo Agosta Subject: Re: The Death of Desmond Kelvin Ville V Lähde ha scritto: > > So now the church has moved its main temple to Kelven, and > Baron/High Patriarch has much more power than before - including > total control of the Griffon Knights (Aleena Halaran's knights > have secceeded and formed an independent sect by the blessing of > her father). Her uncle Sherlane, I suppose. > Kelvin is also poised to marry Arteris Penhaligon, and > he has moved many of his loyal followers into bishop seats around > the country - for example in Vorloi. A good move, since lady Adriana is not eligible anymore. > I've always liked Kelvin, as he is not obviously loyal nor obviously > dangerous. Yes, Kelvin is an character with gret potential. > BTW, I drafted organisational maps for both churhes for my campaign. > With some changes they could be useful to others. Interested? Of course! I gave some thought to the organization of the two churches, but never went that far, so I'm interested in seeing what you did.
