Thanks James! :) I was ideed considering the game balance effect of bringing these guys as well as the Articifer class into the setting. I think the WF Feats are supposed to balance the fact that the WF are unable to wear armor, but im not sure how well that really works. It will depend alot on how much magic armor that is available in the campaign I suspect, and Im not sure I'm going for the inflation of magical items... Thus also the problem with allowing the Arificer. Hehe, this is hillarious :) Very much in the spirit of Blackmoor :) Håvard ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Jun 2005 11:25:30 +0200 From: Havard Faanes Subject: Re: Warforged in Blackmoor? --- Jon Cole Good idea Thanks John :) > Warforged would seem to fit in - Eberron's odd tech > could well match up with > Blackmoors dwarven clockwork Yep. I liked how the clockwork tech was hinted at in D20 Dave Arneson's Blackmoor, but I found it a bit hard to make it anything other than background detail, when I really wanted to give the technology a more central role. By allowing Warforged PCs, tech becomes a part of the character generation options, a clear signal to the players that tech is central to Blackmoor. > also, its a set of ready prepared rules about how the > things work, which is > an advantage Yep. After years of tinkering and coming up with rules that always end up being unbalanced in some way, I have reverted to preferring rules that someone else have tested for me if possible. :) Håvard ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Jun 2005 17:56:55 +0100 From: Jon Cole Subject: Re: Warforged in Blackmoor? have you looked at Races of Eberron as well, as it has soem interesting background stuff, esp about Warforged - like they have no perceptionm of the afterlife but can be ressurected and other interesting stuff Jon ----- Original Message ----- From: "Havard Faanes" To: Sent: Monday, June 20, 2005 10:25 AM Subject: Re: [MYSTARA] Warforged in Blackmoor? > --- Jon Cole > Good idea > > Thanks John :) > > > Warforged would seem to fit in - Eberron's odd tech > > could well match up with > > Blackmoors dwarven clockwork > > Yep.
