Hey. Is the list alive, the digest is not working and I have not been getting any mailings. :'( *cries* __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! I recall the days of DarkSun and Dragon Lance for the AD&D2e, and these were unique alternative AD&D2e, and not rigidly following the rule set at the time... I would like the same for Mystara. The other reasoning for this, is that I would like to have a more plausible rule system for fire-arms or even energy weapons to capture the feel of swashbuckling and wild west genres of Red Steel, and the high tech bits and pieces from the blackmoor era (Hollow World isolated elven clan for example). So I thought of using alternative rules for Damage Reduction and Vitality points used in Star Wars d20, and also documented in Unearthed Arcana. I like some ideas in various Wild West d20 books out there and espcially Spellslinger by Fantasy Fligh Games. I would like to have race specific classes, as noted in Unearthed Arcana and other boks as well. It would add unique flavor to the game, and make cultures and/or races have an extra edge and cultural trait. DawnForge, Crucible of Legend had material for this, and even had a playable Doppleganger race as well (maybe useful for Sind campaign). Additionally, I wanted to make a mutant system d20 style for Red Steel campaign. Maybe apply some ideas I got from Mutants and Masterminds (Green Robin Publishing). Lastly, I was thinking of introducing this as PDFs in the flavor similiar to the boxed sets of the past, just cover enough for Beginning, Expert, etc. ____________________________________________________ Start your day with Yahoo! - make it your home page http://www.yahoo.com/r/hs ------------------------------ End of MYSTARA-L Digest - 15 Aug 2005 to 16 Aug 2005 (#2005-158) ****************************************************************
