It seems after years of successfull hiding, I have to delurk. There was an article on Pandius about an old story dealing with Thanatos and Oberon, I think. I can't really remember the story very well. It had a ncie twist. I think it explained how Thanatos became what he is. I think he started as a just king of immortals, but the he had to fight a war. I think he had to close the doorway to 'true death' or something like that. Maybe I am mixing this story with another one. But if this sounds familiar, maybe you can help me, find the right source? -- *********** Peter 'XXL' Balazs *********** * http://www.unet.univie.ac.at/~a8927259/rollen.html * ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 15 Sep 2005 12:21:27 +0200 From: Havard Faanes Subject: Re: Thanatos Hi Peter! Thanatos was the king of the Immortals, and Ixion his advisor. They planned to close some gateway to lock their enemies beyond it, but Thanatos wife/lover was stuck beyond the gate as well. Thanatos wanted to reopen the gate, but the other Immortals, led by Ixion, would not allow it. This was a way to explain why Thanatos wants to end the multiverse. IIRC, this was a story from James Mishler's website, and got lost with it (together with his work on lycanthropic magic).
