Nice idea. That's the kind of threat Darokinian diplomats don't seem equipped to face. > Two of the PCs were actually caught pants down (literally) while having some questionable "recreation" at a Dengar back-alley. LOL! > - In Karameikos I created a plot in which Hendricks tried to get help from the PCs against Bargle, who was going to overthrow him with the Nomad leaders. This idea was given to me on this list, by the way. There were many good & long discussions on X10 a few years ago here. (Maybe all this could be collated to a coherent article for Shawn's Vaults??) That would be very nice. Quite a massive work, though. > Byt the way, Giampaolo: I've also always liked the FFF plotline in Glantri. Funny how both of us suggested it at the same time! :) > Since the PCs didn't intervene, they are going to run against a full-blown rebellion in a future war, with the same difficult choice facing them.) The FFF can be really dangerous for the Glantrian aristocracy, especially if the manage to gather resources and contacts (with other societies, like the Followers of Claymore), and Glantri is weakened by the war. I was always in awe of how he seemed to give so much care and attention to all parts of his composition. Some artists tend to have a sole focus, one interest in a composition, often the characters. As such there's little thought to environments or even perspective. Keith's mis-en-scene was truly amazing though, and he always embedded his characters in fully realised enivironments and used perspective creatively. In this way he brought his work to life in way few others can, to my mind no others can. I've actually stared at his paintings, drawn from foreground to background and just been captured their beauty... How did he do that? He must have loved painting with a real passion. My condolences to his friends and families, though its a day we all lose out. I never knew Keith but I'll miss his talent. However, not everyone leaves a legacy of true beauty and that's something to be very grateful for. I certainly agree that it would be nice to have this sorted and included onto the Vaults as it really is valuable info and ideas. MC has just entered Vatermont of 1006 AC and the PCs have just returned to Karameikos, perfect timing for the Black Eagle Barony senario. And all the political advice is absolutely wonderful! Thanks everyone! The info on the HKs and the various Vanya sects had me thinking about the churches in general around the KW. Organized religion on Mystara leans much more to the pantheon-church type compared to the 'Temple of [insert name of god here]', even though I still think clerics focus more-so on one Immortal but not to the exclusion of the others. Anyway, I was wondering if anybody has done a listing of all the churches/cults in the KW and their characteristics. I happened to notice one called "The Church of Universal Harmony" from Gaz 8 that describes it as "a tiny sect that preaches that all races should live together in peace, ... supported by certain Immortals of the sphere of Thought." It would be cool to flesh out this and other groups. --------------------------------- Find your next car at Yahoo!
