Everyone uses pounds anyway, and feets for their heights ( tough meters for distance ). But sometimes when we talk in inches, yards, ounces and miles me and my players don't have quite the same feel for how much these things really are. Miles are easy but I remember a player was quite shocked when he learned how many feets a long bow could fire ( having only seen the yards number before ).
