I would try to use the MMB because of its greater visibility among the little mystaran community. Anyway the games I'd like to Dm will be just short adventures based on single and interesting aspect of Mystara, something like: - A group of adventurers hired by the Queen of Ierendi to hunt and capture a famous pirate captain, so having the chance to use sea and navy combat. - A group of newly graduated knights of the RAF in a mission to search for a lost alphatian flying ship, so having a chance to use air combat. - Hollow World explorer lost in the Outer World... and so on.... I'm waiting for the board reorganizing to end anyway, so meanwhile I'd like to ask two question here: Any other ideas for short, interesting adventures using particular rules or places of Mystara? There are people here who would like to play similar games? I seem to recall an adventure in a very early Dungeon magazine, I think it was called "At the Spottle Parlour" if I recall correctly. It was a dice game played around a round table. In the center of the table was a very large spotted toad. Every once in a while the toad would snatch the moving dice thinking they were a tasty meal. I forget what the rules were though. I think this is probably how I'd do it too. According to the Old Immortals rules at least, changing Spheres was relatively easy, so we might not have to worry too much about the exact nature of the quest even if the players want their PCs to end up as Immortals of different Spheres. > DRAGONS: > Since I'm on the digest, I don't know if someone > else mentioned this one for the Dragon reference - > Dragon Mag had an article in Dragon 171 called > 'Who's Who Among Dragons'. By the way, what was the name of that Gold Dragon from IM2 Wrath of Olympus? Has anyone made use of him? All good ideas. I like the idea of some exploration party. Given their interest in the chaotic, they might seek out chaotic artifacts and the like in Mystara to bring back to rulers of the Nightmare Dimension. They could also perhaps be hunting escaped nightmare creatures who are now dwelling on Mystara? IMC Beholders, Malfera, Diaboli, Neh-Thalgu, Mind Flayers(!) and Nuckalave are natives to the Dimension of Nightmare along with other "Abberations". Also, the Abelaat (from the Penhaligion Trilogy) are an evil race from that dimension and ancient enemies of the Diaboli. > Bear in mind that depending on your take on Diaboli > and the dimension of nightmares, they're not > necessarily other planar creatures.
