I made the dice myself. I took 4 old six sided dice and put stickers over the old numbers. The numbers on the dice are as follows. Dice #1 3 3 3 3 3 3 Dice #2 0 0 4 4 4 4 Dice #3 1 1 1 5 5 5 Dice #4 2 2 2 2 6 6 For each die there is another die that has an advantage over it. 2 beats 1, 3 beats 2, 4 beats 3, and 1 beats 4. Each round I let the PC make their bet and choose which dice they what to roll. I make sure to choose the dice that has an advantage. The PC's win sometimes, but usually they end up losing in the long run. It quick, fun and doesn't side track the PC's for long. Now if we wanted to make the game Mystara based you could use symbols that are relivant to the Mystara world. There are seven numbers, are there symbols for days of the week? Maybe you could use flags of countries Thyatis is the six and Alphatia is the zero or vice-a-verse depending on what part of the world you are in. I sure someone here on the boards can come up with a good idea for the symbols. Is it just 1 roll each, and highest # wins? Why bother to roll die #1? The game is a little unclear, but it sounds like has potential. The player and the DM roll the dice once, high roll win. The process starts over the player places a bet the house matches the bet. The player picks the die they want to use and the DM picks the die with the advantage. Your right the #1 die is boring, but necessary. I suppose you could make it the best two out of three. This would give the house (DM) a bigger advantage. You might even give any player who has profession (gambler) a chance to reroll once in a best 2 out of 3 game. Just a thought. The first time I used the dice everyone wanted to try. The bets ranged from a silver to 5 gp (they were low level). Only one player made money the other all lost. All told the dice rolling took only about five minutes of game time.
