Yeah, I'm not really saying we should go down that path with the Rakasta, though I would be willing to wait and see how this develops as the STAP progresses. Most likely, it won't be explored much further though... Havard _________________________________________________________ Alt i én. Få Yahoo! For the Gurrash (actually, the only SC race involved, AFAIK), the multiple creation is ok. It is interesting though, that the D20 sourcebook lists stats for Beastmen. OTOH Orcs in particular have always been part of Dave Arneson's setting. For my own campaign though I use exclusively Beastmen not so much because I am a purist, but because I want to enforce the feeling of being in a different era for my players. > But Gnomes could give the same problem. I had forgotten about that. Gnomes play a much smaller role in Blackmoor, but they are definately there. As with Gatormen I'd suggest them being wiped out during the GRoF and being recreated at a later stage. > For the Gurrash (actually, the only SC race > involved, AFAIK), the > multiple creation is ok. Yep. I see now what you mean about incompatibility however :) Havard _________________________________________________________ Alt i én. Få Yahoo! They don't appear in the original Blackmoor modules, AFAIR, so I don't see a good reason to have them -- but then, I'm not playing/DM-ing in Blackmoor. > > For the Gurrash (actually, the only SC race > > involved, AFAIK), the multiple creation is ok. > > Yep. They can easily be left out of the setting IMO. IMC I have decided to drive a heavy focus on the human cultures so demi-humans (though they exist) hardly make an appearance at all. Ofcourse I can see how many groups won't like being forced to play just humans. When I started gaming, having lots of races to choose between was a big part of the fun.
