It revolves arond the Great School of Magic in the years 1003-1009. The PC's are all students at the school and they were restricted in their choice of characters, no divine magic, no dwarves and no non-memorized arcane magic (that is bards and sorcerers), as they sort of didn't fit into the style of going to the GSoM, being unable to learn all sorts of spells. In order to make the Glantrian Wizards the most potent spellcasters (this being a Glantrian campaign, I don't need to worry about balance), a new coreclass was created: The Glantrian Wizard - you simply give them an additional feat at all levels, where they are not granted one (lv 2,4,7,8 etc.). Futhermore the Secret Crafts are put into play using the Substitution levels. So at the lv 5, 7 etc. the Glantrian Wizard simply substitutes his normal lv and gains a lv of the Secret Craft (but has to pay extra XP to learn the secrets). This costs them a feat, but they gain extra power. This isn't balanced compared to other classes, but since all the PCs are human or elf Glantrian Wizards, it works. I haven't fully defined the powers yet, as the PCs have just entered the fourth level and that still leaves me some time to define the exact powers. BTW xp is gained from attending the school, finding books and spells, not for the killing of monsters. As such it will take seveal years of campaign time, but when they graduate they will be lv9. For now, Greis ******************************************************************** The Other Worlds Homepage: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/OtherWorlds.asp The Mystara Homepage: http://www.pandius.com To unsubscribe, send email to LISTSERV@ORACLE.WIZARDS.COM with UNSUB MYSTARA-L in the body of the message. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 8 Apr 2006 15:14:46 -0300 From: =?ISO-8859-1?Q?=C1tila_Pires_dos_Santos?= Subject: Claw (Was: Re: [MYSTARA] Anyone do Red Steel?)
