Italian/Latim? Both? Slag is canonically Thyatian. However, if Slag is also the language spoken in Bellayne and Cimarron, then it should be English, which makes it less suitable to be identified with Thyatian. Personally, I don't see much need for Slag as Thyatian, apart from making it easier to learn for Baronials and allowing some communication with easterners. It's possible to either use Slag as Bellaynese/English or keep it as a trade tongue used in the eastern part of the coast, and make the LB Trade Tongue (or Bellaynese) a second trade tongue with separate roots and development (as I did in the article). > And > what about Rakastayne? The Rakasta speak two languages, Bellaynese and Rakastan. Basically, one is English, and the other is Japanese. > By the way, the Neutral Alliance and the Chaotic Sisterhood have any > connection with this events? Or appeared only with the first inheritos? No, they're both older organization, that have been around since the times of X9 (circa 500 AC). The Chaotic Sisterhood especially should be related to the internal strife in the Temple of Chaos -- basically, it's what remains of the non-Entropic faction of that Hulean cult, followers of Valerias and Korotiku, mostly. Due to the religious persecution, the society gradually reduced its religious overtones, and later evolved into the Friends of Freedom and the Inheritors of the Flame. > So the verdans might had learned about > Calithia with the native elves or the oiobá (that probably started > worshipping Calithia because of the Sheyallia in the first place). Note that Calitha is also revered by the Tortle, who were among the natives of the Savage Coast at the time of the colonization -- though probably elves and Tanakans were the sources for the Verdans. > I guess i don't know much about this evil deities as well (I just discovered > their existence two days ago, hehe). I'll try to learn more about them and > then let you know what I discovered =) Ok, thanks. > By the way, did you found out when Bastet came back to Mystara? =) No, unfortunately the article doesn't make this clear. From what it's said, it seems that, at the very least, Rakasta had already divided into several groups and created the Empire of Myoshima by the time Ba-steh was back. This makes (according to DM's Rakasta timeline) BC1700 the lower bound, but tells nothing more precise. If we go by DM's hypothesis that Ba-steh settled in Laterre, rather than in any other world with an Egyptian culture, then Mystaran present (1000 AC) is near 1400 AC in Laterre, and therefore Ba-steh would have left after the fall of Egypt under "eastern and northern conquerors" (after Persian and Macedonian invasions, most likely, or at some time thereafter), so around 700 BC (or later, but not likely to be after 100 BC) in the Mystaran calendar. The fact that, despite the support of all other patrons of the Rakasta, Ba-steh doesn't seem to have reached a preminent position in Bellayne's religion, makes a shorter presence more likely than a longer history in Mystara, though. I agree Something like 900 AC would be more than enough to allow Claw adventure to happen in 1010 AC. I was worried that Bastet might had come only around 100= 0 AC =3D) By the way, an year in Mystara has only 336 days, while in Laterre/Earth ha= s 365 days. In 12, 13 years, you get an extra year. Are you considering this difference when comparing Laterre/Mystara dates? =3D) ******************************************************************** The Other Worlds Homepage: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/OtherWorlds.asp The Mystara Homepage: http://www.pandius.com To unsubscribe, send email to LISTSERV@ORACLE.WIZARDS.COM with UNSUB MYSTARA-L in the body of the message. ------------------------------ End of MYSTARA-L Digest - 6 May 2006 to 7 May 2006 (#2006-89) *************************************************************
