I think this idea is great, and that's something we also start doing for the tortles as well at the MMB =) We already have two canonical races that surely are part of this family, phanatons (mix of Ring-tailed Lemur and Flying Lemurs/Colugos) and, of course, humans (and possibly close-related species, like elfes, dwarves, gnomes and halflings). Pepahs there are "gorilla-men" at the HW, living side-by-side with their close related relatives (and smaller), the Brute men? ******************************************************************** The Other Worlds Homepage: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/OtherWorlds.asp The Mystara Homepage: http://www.pandius.com To unsubscribe, send email to LISTSERV@ORACLE.WIZARDS.COM with UNSUB MYSTARA-L in the body of the message. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 12 May 2007 10:56:34 +0200 From: Giampaolo Agosta Subject: Re: Rakasta player, human PCs On 12/05/07, =C1tila Pires dos Santos wrote: > > Hehe, I'm surely interested! Well, I'm doing something on these lines for Myoshima (see my posts on the MMB: http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?p=3D12308082#post1230808= 2 ) grouping together Sasquatch (Bigfoot), Neshezu (from SC) and Vanara (a type of simian creature from Indian myths found in Oriental Adventures). Oh, yes, I knew I saw something about it recently at the MMB =3D) And I indeed forgot the Neshezu, my mistake again =3D) Looks like the Sasquatch could well be the "gorilla-men", while the Neshezu are "orangutang-men". How the Varana are supposed to be, exactly? Any RW monkey equivalents? =3D) ******************************************************************** The Other Worlds Homepage: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/OtherWorlds.asp The Mystara Homepage: http://www.pandius.com To unsubscribe, send email to LISTSERV@ORACLE.WIZARDS.COM with UNSUB MYSTARA-L in the body of the message. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 12 May 2007 11:18:05 +0200 From: Giampaolo Agosta Subject: Re: Rakasta player, human PCs On 12/05/07, =C1tila Pires dos Santos wrote: > > > Oh, yes, I knew I saw something about it recently at the MMB =3D) > And I indeed forgot the Neshezu, my mistake again =3D) > Looks like the Sasquatch could well be the "gorilla-men", while the Neshe= zu > are "orangutang-men". > How the Varana are supposed to be, exactly? Any RW monkey equivalents? = =3D) Well, Hanuman is the most well known Vanara, so you might try to guess from representations of Hanuman: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vanara GP ******************************************************************** The Other Worlds Homepage: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/OtherWorlds.asp The Mystara Homepage: http://www.pandius.com To unsubscribe, send email to LISTSERV@ORACLE.WIZARDS.COM with UNSUB MYSTARA-L in the body of the message. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 12 May 2007 06:32:31 -0300 From: =?ISO-8859-1?Q?=C1tila_Pires_dos_Santos?= Subject: Re: Rakasta player, human PCs On 5/12/07, Giampaolo Agosta wrote: > > > Well, Hanuman is the most well known Vanara, so you might try to guess > from representations of Hanuman: > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vanara =) Since they have tails and are rather smaller than humans, they probably are not that close to humans than the Sasquatch and Neshezu, that should be equivalents to great apes (even those too being far more primitive species compared to Vanaras or Phanatons, I guess). ------------------------------ End of MYSTARA-L Digest - 11 May 2007 to 12 May 2007 (#2007-51) ***************************************************************
