Maybe we could let them evolve there (sort of Wiki-like), and even people that do not belong to any of the groups (MMB, MML etc) could contribute." I'll elaborate a bit on the point of my original mail. I do not think =20 that everything in the vaults needs to be "finished". Shawn has wisely =20 archives several MML mails, for example, which are in a rough form =20 with previous mails as reply-threads. These are valuable parts of the =20 corpus, even though they are not aesthetically pleasing. But often there are not even such mail tumbleweeds available, and we =20 cannot expect Shawn to start collating them. My point was just that those people who are active in a given =20 discussion (for example: "Another view on the Location of Blackmoor, =20 as affected by Havard's maps and the fate of the Shadowelves, if it is =20 Thursday and the moon is crescent" :)) might agree at some point of =20 the creative process to gather up a more (or less!) coherent document =20 of the discussion and send it to Shawn. This could be basically an original proposition with a string of pro =20 and con arguments; or an edited form with different views placed as =20 alternatives; or a text which has been circulated among the people =20 concerned and amended by each one; or even a full-fledged article. It does not matter if something ends up in the Vaults that is not =20 carefully finished. It is the main thing that the info is there, and =20 someone can use it. Later on someone can decide to rewrite the text in =20 a more finished form. For example, I promise that I will send an edited text on the =20 situation of Nithia before the fall, as soon as our campaign in Nithia =20 gets underway. Many people gave me great ideas, and the least I can do =20 is to regurgitate them for the Vaults. So to recapitulate: the main points of the post were to help Shawn in =20 the archiving, to preserve valuable creative work and to precisly =20 allow rough drafts into the Vaults (the last is true already, but it =20 is a resource that is underused), which can later on be edited if =20 someone has the time or the inclination. I'm not receiving e-mails from the MML as well (this one I receive from you is via the old account, Terra, which I have not yet unsubscribed). I carefully read both Shawn's hints (http://www.pandius.com/mmlguide.html) and the ones that I received via e-mail upon success of my subscription. I'm doing everything right. BTW I received 2 e-mails from you saying "test". > It was worth a try, but I'll have to wait until a new forum is up. > > > > From those 2 (equal) errors and the one I mentioned earlier (the fact that my subscription just was not processed at the first time - and I just re-sent the msg and... it worked!), I conclude what I feared might happen is already happening: not only MMB, but also MML is going down. I appeal to GP - and others that might think like him i.e. people who want to be reactive about this - to open his eyes and *act*. I tell you, if we start a GG/Y!G, I can admin it (of course anyone else can, I do not wish to be the ruler of anything!). What would the result be? In additional (n+1) PHPBB merging a number of Mystara-related boards? Same here! Exactly! Despite MY taste... I'd love to see those who like a web-based board having a trustworthy place for their thoughts. That WAS nice! Where are they? I even bought paper stuff from LVC... Anyway I have been thinking "Why is MML so slow?". I thought it was coz everyone just had migrated to MMB. But now I see there are people like me who prefer e-mail discussion.
