Welcome back. I think Pathfinder (DnD 3.6) looks good. I thought Hule was Persian? Ylaruam is arabic, but have Egyptian style forgotten history. >> Hule is based on Turkey/Ottoman Empire, from both the point of view of >> language and of ethnic makeup. Forgot about Thothia... What's the difference between Thothia and Nithia would you say? ******************************************************************** The Other Worlds Homepage: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/OtherWorlds.asp The Mystara Homepage: http://www.pandius.com To unsubscribe, send email to LISTSERV@ORACLE.WIZARDS.COM with UNSUB MYSTARA-L in the body of the message. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 1 Aug 2009 12:34:04 +0200 From: Giampaolo Agosta Subject: Re: I'm happy to say I'm back.. 2009/8/1 Joaquin Menchaca : > >> Don't forget Thothia, the Nithian colony on the Isle of Dawn which has >> retained some Egyptian flavour. > > Forgot about Thothia... =A0What's the difference between Thothia and Nith= ia would you say? Thothia is associated to the Alphatian Empire -- thus, in many senses, it is Egypt if it had survived to the Renaissance, where Nithia is a classical age culture. Also, Thothia is ruled by a puppet emperor controlled by an immortal empress, who is at the head of an evil Aranea conspiracy. There's a lot of spider mysticism around in Thothia that is not present in Nithia, IIRC.
