It's not so common for a campaign to have plausi= ble goblin monks. I am curious to see whether the players will get this: ho= w surprised they will be by civilized goblins, and especially whether they'= ll trust them or just think they are planning some treachery and kill them = outright! Right now, one is organizing goblins to become more savage (barbarians) and is terrorizing the surrounding area. It is horrifically maligned fey creature, destructive, delights in torture, but it is extremely smart as well. I am trying to find source material on it. I read Changling, The Dreaming, which got me really interested in this creature. I found converted DnD 1e stats to 3e on EnWorld, and there's a different MMIII write up for DnD 3.5e, but the stats, other than a scythe do not look anything like it. So I want to do something to mix it up, come out with a unique creature. I'll look at Monte Cooke's World of Darkness, for rules about converting White Wolf material to d20, and then from there compare to community 3e write-up and MMIII, pick, choose... I also need to get my hands on Dragon 158 to see an alternate Red Cap write-up. The idea is to have a powerful sinister bully creature that is magical and murderous, and something unique to both wow the party and scare them as well. I found this online: http://zeleny.digitalfreaks.org/other/CamStuff/Redcap/RedcapPGv2.htm ******************************************************************** The Other Worlds Homepage: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/OtherWorlds.asp The Mystara Homepage: http://www.pandius.com To unsubscribe, send email to LISTSERV@ORACLE.WIZARDS.COM with UNSUB MYSTARA-L in the body of the message. ------------------------------ End of MYSTARA-L Digest - 7 Nov 2009 to 8 Nov 2009 (#2009-82) *************************************************************
