Made by Paizo. Paizo used to make Dragon and Dungeon until Hasbro pulled the plug. As Hasbro ditched DnD like system, and went to 4e (which IMHO is more like a video game on paper), Paizo took the mantle and continued the evolution of DnD3.5e. Some are calling it 3.6e or 3.75e. There's MM, DMG, and PH type of books and many adventures. I like their system actually, cleaned up a lot of structural flaws with prior system. http://paizo.com/pathfinder ******************************************************************** The Other Worlds Homepage: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/OtherWorlds.asp The Mystara Homepage: http://www.pandius.com To unsubscribe, send email to LISTSERV@ORACLE.WIZARDS.COM with UNSUB MYSTARA-L in the body of the message. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 5 Jul 2010 22:09:48 -0500 From: Eric Anondson Subject: Re: Pathfinder, what is... Paizo took the mantle of 3.x because it meant bankruptcy as a company = and unemployment in the game industry otherwise. I'm preferring the toolbox of fixes in Trailblazer more than the rules = of Pathfinder as an evolution of 3.x. They could have gone further to = fix some serious flaws, big, IMO, chickened out (I say that = affectionately) in order to maximize compatibility with existing 3.5 = products. Where Pathfinder has a greater success, IMO, is in the = tremendous level of adventure support for its rules. I know a bunch of people who have bought the $5 Trailblazer 180 page = .pdf and mined it for patches to their Pathfinder games. I just started a Trailblazer-inspired 3.x game set in Karameikos a = couple weeks ago.
