Hello Folks. I was wondering, for Caves of Chaos (from B2 Keep on the Borderlands). Any ideas for linking it and making it part of Karameikos (or other lands). I was thinking of a rough idea, of placing it near Black Eagle Barony, where the chaos is a nuisance to distract Western forces of Karameikos. They are being supplied by Black Eagle Barony. - Joaquin ******************************************************************** The Other Worlds Homepage: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/OtherWorlds.asp The Mystara Homepage: http://www.pandius.com To unsubscribe, send email to LISTSERV@ORACLE.WIZARDS.COM with UNSUB MYSTARA-L in the body of the message. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 4 Apr 2011 00:22:51 -0700 From: Dave Keyser Subject: Re: Starting Mystara Campaign in Hong Kong I like how you are traveling along the Pacific Rim launching Mystara campaigns :) Dave On Sun, Apr 3, 2011 at 10:33 PM, Joaquin Menchaca wr= ote: > > Last I talked with folks, I was in South Korea, running a campaign using = some of Paizo's material. =A0It was Mystara represented in DnD 3.75e (Pathf= inder). =A0I had a blast, and the players were enjoying it. > > > > Now I'm considering what to run in with a local group of mixed Candadians= , Americans, Australians, and British. =A0I want to have a blast, and they = are eager for a dungeon crawl, so I was thinking of the caves of chaos, but= I want to make some township interaction take place. =A0For example, socie= tal elements (inquisitors, criminal elements) coordinating with dungeon ele= ments. =A0I'm going total ad-hoc, off the cuff of imagination, combine cult= ists vs. bandits vs. humanoids vs. werewolves. > > > > ******************************************************************** > > The Other Worlds Homepage: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/OtherWorlds.asp > > The Mystara Homepage: http://www.pandius.com > > To unsubscribe, send email to LISTSERV@ORACLE.WIZARDS.COM > > with UNSUB MYSTARA-L in the body of the message. > > ******************************************************************** The Other Worlds Homepage: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/OtherWorlds.asp The Mystara Homepage: http://www.pandius.com To unsubscribe, send email to LISTSERV@ORACLE.WIZARDS.COM with UNSUB MYSTARA-L in the body of the message. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 4 Apr 2011 09:01:21 -0300 From: Vinicius Rodrigues de Moraes Subject: Re: Starting Mystara Campaign in Hong Kong The man is an evangelist! ---------------------- Professor MSc Eng Vinicius de Moraes Curr=EDculo Lattes: http://lattes.cnpq.br/4749378347332215 LinkedIn: Vinicius Rodrigues de Moraes Skype: vinimagus MSN e Google Talk: vinimagus@gmail.com On Mon, Apr 4, 2011 at 4:22 AM, Dave Keyser wrote: > > I like how you are traveling along the Pacific Rim launching Mystara > > campaigns :) > > > > Dave > > > > On Sun, Apr 3, 2011 at 10:33 PM, Joaquin Menchaca > > wrote: >> > > Last I talked with folks, I was in South Korea, running a campaign usin= g > > some of Paizo's material. My idea is to have the humanoids be able to shop for goods at Fort Doom, and they gain money in banditry in the vicinity. Maybe the humanoids can get so good, that the local brigands want to get rid of them. Another interesting element is the cultists, where some in the town are helping them, or working with them. I haven't figured out that angle. The Iron Ring slavers could buy slaves from the humanoids as well. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 4 Apr 2011 10:13:02 -0400 From: Steven Carter Subject: Re: Caves of Chaos Ideas? I was under the impression the Caves of Chaos and the Keep were canonically placed in the mountains between the borders of Karameikos, Darokin, Thyatis and Ylaruam. Although it's certainly possible to use it nearly anywhere and your idea is quite do-able. I would try linking it with the classic AD&D Slave Lords series, Lost Caverns of Tzojcanth(sp? - sorry, my hardcopy is at home) and Castle Caldwell if you're interested in a loose-knit campaign. The linking elements being Iron Ring, the Black Eagle Baron and Bargle. I have no problem with the idea that there are several borderlands keeps. Is that not fairly realistic? Even the architecture could be very similar if they were all constructed by the Duke or during the Thyatian occupation.
