Pe= rsonaly I like 4th edition, its simple to follow, easy to run as a DM and q= uick to grasp as a player. I cant say I have seen the new books for the sys= tem, but I can say I have most of the other books before the relaunch of 4t= h edition D&D. The new edition of the game actuly has alot of crunch to it,= you just have to get past the new system much like people had to get past = 2end edition to 3.x =A0=0A"Happy Hunting!"=0A ******************************************************************** The Other Worlds Homepage: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/OtherWorlds.asp The Mystara Homepage: http://www.pandius.com To unsubscribe, send email to LISTSERV@ORACLE.WIZARDS.COM with UNSUB MYSTARA-L in the body of the message. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 23 Aug 2011 07:41:58 +0200 From: Giampaolo Agosta Subject: Re: investigated Hasbro DnD (aka 4e) On 23 August 2011 01:58, Greg Weatherup wrote: > > Are then these 4e Fighters like the martial adept classes from late > > 3.5e (specifically from Tome of Battle - Book of 9 Swords)? I suppose so. Actually, most non-spellcasting classes in 4e probably resemble those 3e classes, much like all spellcasters are somewhat similar to the 3e Warlock. The Essentials fighters and rogue are less oriented towards powers, but only slightly.
