I pronounce them as a-this and si-deer-a. But I also have a wicked bad Boston accent. So who am I to say?

We've been saying ath-AS and sa-DI-ra but hey we're french-canadian so we may not be doing it the anlo way...

I'm an Anglo :D , well more a Germanic, but never the less I'm from Iowa and thusly have a completely neutral American accent. I pronounce them the same as you, except I put the emphasis on the 1st rather than 2nd syllabel. SA-di-ra.

Well, I have a perfect speaking voice with no accent whatsoever and I say:

"ATH iss"

&

"SA deer AH"
