The Mina mini is now official. She's part of the Angelfire pack! Suh-weet!

Nicely done, too.

If I was a small metal figurine, I'd be all up on her.

Woohoo! Mina is great. Now when is WotC coming out with the Dragonlance expansion set for the minis? I mean, the Underdark expansion comes out later this year, so why not a DL? Think about the havok you could wreak with Raist and Caramon (but then again, you wouldn't be able to use them in the same warband...)

Oh, and don't forget, Lord Soth has already been released, in Giants of Legend.

Well, considering that I bought 3 boxes of Dragoneye and got 2 Baaz and 1 Kapak, I thought my luck with pulling DL minis was pretty good. Then Giants of Legend came out, and I have purchased 10 boxes so far and have not gotten Lord Soth yet, but I have pulled the same rare twice, twice! So I am leery of buying the Angelfire set in hopes of getting the Mina mini. Oh well, there are plenty of other good rares to get.

What about trying sites like Ebay where you might be able to purchase individual minis? Just a thought...

See, that is what everyone keeps telling me. I will probably turn around and do that.

I ordered a bunch of draconians from http://shop.rpg.net and they were relatively inexpensive.

Don't forget about Lord Soth, who was in the Giants of Legend set. I got him and a butt load of Baaz. Never got one Kapak though, stinking uncommons. To bad Mina is only one of three minis in the set I would want.

Hmmm...I need to get pics up on the Sindra and Grigolothan conversions I did for my campaign. They came out pretty sweet if I do say so myself.

She is #45/60. She's called "Mina, Dark Cleric".

I checked out that link and they have some great product over there at decent prices.

The thing I don't get is how some of the major online retailers (Amazon and Buy.com) manage to snag RPG products and sell them so cheap. I recall getting my Epic Level Handbook on Buy.com for $12.00.

Thanks for the link.

I don't know...but they manage to get a lot of their books down in price. For the longest time I refused to purchase the 3.5 books, but then I saw the set on amazon.com and they were less than $20 a piece (cheaper than the original release of 3.0). It's nice.

I get a lot of my books from them these days...just because all the book stores around here are a bit out of my way to get to.

And how can you beat their prices? On average, I can snag $30 - $40 RPG books there for between $15 - $25. If possible, I always give my money to local gaming retailers, but when they don't carry a product line you want or your budget is just too tight, you can always go online.

I mean, it's just sick how low their prices are.

They can purchase them in enormous quantities and enjoy volume discounting. Gaming stores can't do the same without having a really large amount of overstock, which is really just wasted money until it sells.

I used to run a gaming store and did my best to keep prices down, but ultimately the FLGS needs to be a service and special orders business, not a discount market for gaming materials. There's no way it can compete on that level with the big online bulk vendors.

And once upon a time, I supported my FLGS, but they were really a bunch of you-know-whats, so I quit spending my money there. Although it's under new management now and they have new employees so, I plan on giving them another try. But I do like the cheaper prices of Amazon. :D

Sorry, what's FLGS?

And you're right. Excellent point. Which is why I strive to do everything I can to give my dollars to the local fellas, but problems arise. They refuse to order or carry certain stock, they can't get it in a reasonable amount of time, etc.

Often not so friendly, but there you go.

I see. Gracias.

It turns out that my FLGS is pretty friendly, but their stock is just crap sometimes (no White Wolf, Steve Jackson, etc.).

Your lucky your getting Mina. I just figured that WoTC had forgotten DL even exsisted anymore. Maybe we should get Soveirgn Press to produce DL specific Mini's. :D

No I'm not. I have absolutely no interest in what is pretty much a generic female cleric mini. On the other hand, I've seen far more interest by people who want the rest of the draconians rather than characters no one outside of DL has ever heard of. The draconians are iconic; Mina is not.

While Mina is good in of that it shows that WoTC remembers that DL exists, past that I don't care about her as a miniature. Give me lots and lots and lots of Draconians! Bozaks are more important! I need Bozak Draconians! Auraks and Sivaks are good too, though.

Oh I was just being bitter and sarcastic at Wizards. I would love to see them put out more draconians, or Elves mounted on Griffons, or some dragon riders with Dragonlances, etc. I would love to see them acknowledge the existence of the unique DL creatures, but they most likely will only invest in the characters from the books.
