would anyone know of an English translation of the posts on darksun.com.br? I think that it has some information not found on athas.org, at the very least I can deduce that there's a history of athas page or two....but sadly I only speak English, Old and Middle English, and the most rudementary of Gaelic and Japanese.
So any Portugese speakers willing to translate?

Have you tried babelfishing the posts, and then deciphering that translation?

Dark Sun Brazil has developped some new material, extensive I think, about a new city-state. If it gets picked up by athas.org it will be translated.

Hi there

We ARE developing some new material about a city-state as well as converting some stuff that was left out by athas.org (classes, powers, spells, prcs) as well as coming up with some alternative rules to make athas.org material have even more of the 'old DS' feel.

As soon as any of it becomes published, we'll send Jon the english version and hopefully some of it will become official

Besides that, everything that we have in our site is the translated material from athas.org (only better-looking :P )

Helo Jesterjeff,

These pages about the history you mentioned (I presume you're talking about these pages < http://www.darksun.com.br/historia.php >) are texts inspired by the Wanderer's Chronicle.

It happens that Dark Sun was never published in portuguese, so we, Brazilian Fans of Dark Sun, lack the fluffly part of the setting in portuguese.

Considering that:
- Tons of people keep asking us if we are ever going to release any supplement with the fluffy material.
- Wizards of The Coast doesn't want to let us translate even a single page from the 2nd edition DS books.

We started to write down with our own words some info about Athas, explaining the Tablelands, the Sorcerer-kings, the Ages of Athas and its timeline, the city-states and so on.. Until now we briefly explained the Tablenlands, and the some Ages of Athas' Timeline.

Anyway, we do have some stuff that are not in athas.org site. These are tales we gather through the net and translate, and the SRD (System Reference Document) from WotC books not yet translated to portuguese.

thanks for the info guys, I'm really greatful for both the info and the promptness of the replies.

I have to say; I wish I could read the site. It's well constructed and looks to have alot of useful info...

You're welcome.

The same way you feel now, our brazilians fans feel when athas.org release a new supplement.... it takes at least a month for us to translate and publish on our website.
;)
