I'm curious is there a list of all the rules that a Knight of Solamnia has to follow listed in one place, either compiled from supplements &/or novellas?

Ouch!... even if they existed i doubt any of would read the 14 tomes!....IIRC.

They are mentioned in TotL, but of course non of the rules from Measure are listed.

From what I remember, the Measure was in numerous volumes of books the size of Yugos. Seriously, it probably wouldn't fit in any supplemental module that Wizards could put out. Maybe they could do an abridged (severely) version though.

With all that goes into all the knighthoods (Solamnic, Nerakan, and Legion) I am surprised that I have heard nothing about some future releases on these subjects. These would be books that I would run my grandmother over to get. Sure, fluff like the War of the Lance and upcomming Tales of the Lance suppliments are nice, but something on the knighthoods, even if shoved into one book, would be awesome!

To sum it up: If you do anything that anyone for any reason can use against you to disgrace your honor, or if you do anything that anyone for any reason can say breaks the Oath, you must kill yourself or be exiled forever.

It's like being in a convent! Minus the ritual suicide.

That's why being Good sucks. ;)

I am going to have to disagree with you here. First off, you don't have to committ suicide, there are trials and other means by which to defend ones honor. If I remember right, one such way is a sword dual to three touches. No one dies, but it can allow one to regain honor. And if you do any knowingly evil act, disgrace yourself, are disgraced by your family, or break the Oath and Measure there are many penalties that can be applied. Exile is one, but stripping of rank and title, demotions, and public humiliation are others. No, I certainly don't see the knighthood like being part of a cult, thats to extreme (and by comparison, one could argue any religion is technically a cult). I see them as more like Paladin's with a stricter set of guidelines and a less preachy nature.

Something I have used as a guide for the oath and measure is the code of the Samurai (Bushido code). I don't use it word for word, but if you look at it it has very knightly qualities. That in conjunction with the chilvalry code work pretty well as a basis.

I agree with all those who stated that publishing such a codex would be one hell of an endeavor, but I was hoping that somewhere somebady has compiled such an item gleaning info from supplements & the novellas already in publication. Yes, that in itself is a daunting task, but as you all know we as gamers are cut from a different cloth - such an endeavor must have already been accomplished by someone somewhere.

If you are that person please post it.

I'm sure we would all love to utilize it.
