Aug 09, 2005 15:34:44 Since I always complain when I don't like a book it's fair I mention when I like one.

I just got a War of the Lance bookand just LOVE IT. Though the art is pretty much what we've seen in classic products, new illustration (like Feal-Thas) are nice. Design improved a lot (unlike those justified text ind AoM), lot of useful information on the armies. The Master class is a great addition, the Handler is cool, and there are many, many, many NPCs compared to previous books.

So, congratulations to SP team!!! keep the good work guys.

Aug 10, 2005 13:37:11 I liked the War of the Lance book myself. Even though I am thoroughly enmeshed in the current era of Dragonlance novels and gaming, it brought back a cool sense of nostalgia for the era that first drew me into Dragonlance.
Wow, how about that new pic of Kitara in the personalities section? I've never seen a representation of her quite capture that mix of deadly martial combat with sheer sexiness. :D

I loved the book though, it's a great tool.

War of the Lance doesn't have a poster map, no.

However, Tasslehoff's Map Pouch is a great place to find a map.

Originally yes, but then the gods conspired against DL and smote it down. (something about a heart attack and a lightning strike effecting the WotL cartographer or something like that)

Aug 18, 2005 14:34:45 I agree that Tasslehoff's pouch is a great source of DL maps but still, an age of despair poster map of ansalon would have been sweet.

oh well, I guess those websites I saw don't update too often. Thanks for the answers Brimstone & Dragonhelm.

Aug 28, 2005 11:18:52 i got the war of the lance book it is good but id wish theyed bring out a map book for the war of the lance with a closer look on the cities would be nice. i'd like a great big map of ansalon during the age of dispair so i could photo copy it and give it to the PC who is playing Tasslehoff in my current game, its still a wonderful book though and i love the new colour illustrations of the heroes (i wish there was an illustration of Riverwind and Goldmoon though... )
