Thread Title : TSR 1070 The Box Basic Set

I recently bought the above mentioned set from E-bay but when I tried to play it, it appears to be incomplete. Does anyone know if there where actually character sheets for this set. In "Escape from Zanzer's Dungeon" it says you need to haveAxel's Character Record but I don't have one unless I'm over looking something.
Please Help I really miss playing Basic D&D.

Oh, I have that one! (Don't ask why. For some reason I collect intro sets. *Shrug*)

That set is no where near what the "old" Basic set was. What you have is the one with all the cards that show you how to play. The "character record" is that scrap of paper that you write the info down as you learn to play the game. "Axel is smart,  write his score: Wisdom 14", "Axel has 6 hit points. Write this down somewhere on the paper." or somesuch.

There are no character sheets.

So there were no actual Character Record sheets it' just a bunch of stats listed somewhere?
