I know its a stretch but I am finding issues in locating other Darksun and Planescape enthusiasts in Salt Lake City, I am a new Gm to the area and finding gamers here is tough, even the game stores are cliquish and I have been treated badly in at least one local store.

So if any of you DarkSun enthusiasts out there live in the Salt Lake City area, by all means introduce yourself and let me know how I may be able to contact you, I currently have notices up at GoodGame OGC, and EndZone in TrolleySquare Mall, tomorrow I am heading to Hastur's. ((A local would know what I was talkign about if anyone is like WTF...LOL))

Anyway I should also introduce myself.

Darkenstarr here and I have been playing RPG's since I was 8 years old. Nearly 20 years have passed since then and I have GM'd for a large portion of that time.

Thanks to the people at Athas.org and here on the boards my Darksun campaign is flowing to life.

I look forward to debating with you all on topics ranging from conversions to various other opinionated queries.

BTW real name is Alexis :D

Hi darkenstarr, welcome to the boards, and have fun.

If you intend to post a lot, have a pervasive presence in a lot of threads, think about announcing your game search for Salt Lake City in your signature.

BTW, my real name is Alexis. :D

I have indeed now posted it in my signature.

And what an honor it is to have one of the people from Athas.org be the one to reply to my humble thread, you guys and gals are absolutely amazing. I wish that I too could take part in conversions for you guys, my passion has and always will be Roleplaying Games, and from the first day I picked up a darksun book (rpg book, did't grab a novel until much later) I was hooked, Darksun and Planescape came alive for me based on the worlds, as oppossed to Forgotten realms which was brought to life by the characters in the novelization.

Thank you for the reply, and I imagine I will be posting here alot more.

((Should you folks at Athas ever feel the need or desire to add to your amazing staff please by all means PM me.))

Thanks again,
Alexis Dority

Should you folks at Athas ever feel the need or desire to add to your amazing staff please by all means PM me.

If you're serious about it, there's not a million ways to do it: prove yourself to the staff by grabing opportunities to give...say, very good feedback on a subject, when the staff is asking the community for feedback. If your comments and work is great, they'll notice you.
You can also create things, say, monsters, and if they are really good and your own analysis of your work and that of others in that field shows a profound comprehension of the rules, then you might get in.

:D , everyone is great here. A few are crabier than others (like myself), but there aren't really any spammers or idiots on the forums. I'm sure the Templarate appreciates your adoration ;) , but you needn't prostrate yourself :P . So welcome aboard, there are a lot of individual and group projects on these forums and everyone needs feedback/advice on their creations, and of course there are plenty of discussion about various aspects of the setting as well. So, after you've gotten a better look at whats already up on the forums and put your two cents in on a few threads, feel free to post your own creations or start your own discussion threads if you get an inkling.
