Many thanks, Sam, I'll follow this one up. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : lhmloa Date : 04-08-08 05:03 PM Thread Title : Re: Lasso rules? Well, the 2E Complete Priest's Handbook mentions that a Priest of the Death-God is of course permitted the use of an ordinary lasso but will often tie one in the fashion of a noose -- just like he can use a normal battle-axe but, given the option, will usually wield one styled as a headman's axe. Since (a) they don't bother listing any modifiers for someone thus aping the motif of an executioner, and since (b) the Complete Fighter's Handbook rules for using a typically knotted lasso include simply putting the loop around someone's neck and pulling it taut -- which, as per CFH, not only allows for strangulation damage but also for techniques by which one "could easily break someone's neck, killing him instantly" if one end of the rope yanks the rider neck-first off a horse while the other end is tied around a tree branch -- then, no, I'd figure it's supposed to work pretty much the same. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 08:22 AM.
