Hello, I am looking for advice on a module where the players or one of the players ( a Paladin ) can command a small strike force, army, outpost, hold a pass against a coming army, you get what i mean. Something Like the Bloodstone pass series . Character Levels are 6-7, but i`ll take any cause i can modify them. My campaign is a sort of medieval one, with few magicians, cause some sort of Magician Lords once had the people enslaved, thats why magicians are rare, clerical Magic however is abundant, cause the churches are very powerful. What I`d really like were an adventure or a series of adventures in which the party, especially the paladin is sent out to deal with a new military threat. It would be really cool if these adventures could deal with a siege, breaking a siege whatever. My goals is to make the Paladin Character a War-hero,n cause from there on i would continue with my political campaign. Can anyone recommend one to me ? Thanks in advance, L. For character levels 10-14. This is an Expert D&D module, but should be easily converted to AD&D (3e would be slightly harder). It uses the Battlesystem rules for mass combat, but could probably be converted to other mass combat systems as well. Good module! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : Lannister Date : 09-19-03 02:04 AM Thank you, I was Recommended these following modules at enworld, which do you think is best: 1. FRQ2 Hordes of Dragonspear 2. I14 Sword of the Iron Legion 3. X10 Red Arrow Black Shield 4. D20 Hamlet of THumble 5. D20 Siege on Ebonring Keep 6. U3 / The Final Enemy 7. UK3 the Sentinel 8. Gryphon Rock 9. DL 8, Dragons of War Thanks in advance, L. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : Borrowed Thyme Date : 09-19-03 02:07 AM You could try something from the old Birthright campaign, that might help. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 5] Author : Lannister Date : 09-19-03 03:50 AM And which one would you recommend from Birthright ? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 6] Author : diaglo Date : 09-19-03 10:10 AM well if you progress the paladin up high enough. you could try the best mass combat modules. H1, H2, H3, H4 the Bloodstone Series;) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 7] Author : diaglo Date : 09-19-03 10:44 AM and of course there is the whole Original 1edADnD DragonLance War of the Lance series. DL1-14 but that will require some adjustments to fit. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 8] Author : Lord Gwydion Date : 09-19-03 11:29 PM The OD&D module "Test of the Warlords" (C1? I think) is good. The premise is that the PCs have to set up their own domains in a new wilderness kingdom, and then defend/develop them. It's more of a campaign in and of itself than just one adventure, but there are lots of military scenarios in it. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 9] Author : blackprinceofmuncie Date : 09-20-03 12:46 AM Originally posted by Lannister Thank you, I was Recommended these following modules at enworld, which do you think is best: 1. I have played/run both X10 and U3 and found them to be excellent. I own and have read UK3, but never actually used it in play. I am not completely familiar with I14, but I do know that it is actually a collection of "battle scenarios" with some RP stuff thrown in. While it might not be something you could run as-is for your particular situation, it would probably be a very good source of inspiration or one-shot venues. And I would also second Lord Gwydion's recommendation of Test of the Warlords (it's actually CM1 - written for the Companion D&D system). As he points out, it might be a little more than you are looking for as it is designed more as a campaign starter than as a single adventure. However it is a very good module by Douglas Niles (one of my favorite D&D authors). -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 08:17 AM.
