Congratz! You are.... almost exactly 2 years older than me. My birthday is the 18th of October, and I'll be 30... :P

Well, I already got what I really wanted -- a new, decent-paying job to actually finally be able to bring in some money after a 5-year-long "income-drought". And it's a job I love to do too, which makes it all the much sweeter. Hell, just last week, my boss gave me a $5 an hour raise, bumping me to $20 an hour, which is pretty damned sweet for a part-time (20 hr/week) job.

Happy belated Grummore.

Congrats on the good paying job Xlorep. I'm hoping I'm around that range or at least close to it when and if I get hired on in 5 more months.

Not to totally derail Grummore's thread even more, but I wanted to mention that the only thing my boss said he didn't like about me working for them, was that currently he cannot hire me full-time (since I've got 16 units worth of classes this semester). However, I did inform him that after this semester, I'll be more or less hard-pressed to have a full-time school schedule, and will most likely be looking into a more full-time position (which would mean even more money).

Happy belated birthday Grummore :D.

I have been looking back over the last several years and all I say is 'WOW, where did the time go?'

Graduated highschool in the spring of 96, US Marine Corp Infantry 96-2000, college 2000-2004, accounting job 2004- today and in between I have been married since 2001 and a daughter that is 17 months old now.

It does not seem that it was that long ago!

Ya I went from high adventure and excitement in the Marine Corps Infantry to the number crunching, mind numbing profession of accounting. I am an auditor, but I have also done taxes, and have almost passed all of the testing required to get my CPA licence.

Oh, well.
When I am not busy defending my title as the King of Pokémon, I work as an accountant too. Scary, eh? A Pikachu crunching millions of $...

Heh, for the record, I was in payroll/accounting (read: Finance) for the Army. Absolutely, unequivokably (sic) without a doubt hated every second of it. So even though I'm good at such thngs, I have never actually applied for those kinds of jobs in the Civilian world.
