Hello, I am running a planes campaign for a few friend's. Its 3.5 material, with some of my 2nd edition splashed in (since we all kind of have to). I have just about everything FR 2nd and 3rd, and found For Duty and Deity. I have been using the Tails From the Infinite Staircase (what in there I can use), and want to tie these together. It gives you some options in adventure of how to bring them into it, but I have my own ways.
I understand waukeen is no longer lost (in 3rd) in the abyss. Is there another Deity I might be able to use in such circumstances? What drastically has changed about Graz'zt? Is there anywhere I can get some decent expanding info on Infinite Staircase? Maybe some info on Grazā€™zt plane or planes he controls? Anything along these lines, or tid bits you can share would be helpful.
They will be ascending the Infinite Staircase, looking for the entrance to abyss. To free this individual (unknown yet) from the clutches of Graz'zt. There is allot of other material and resources I am using but too much to even start writing here. Any help would be much appreciated.

Because she was rescued in For Duty & Deity. If you haven't run that adventure yet, she hasn't been rescued yet.

Is there another Deity I might be able to use in such circumstances?

You could use virtually any deity, but you have to come up with an excuse for why she's been stripped of her powers and was stupid enough to trust Graz'zt.

It doesn't have to be a deity, even - just anyone who's important enough for Graz'zt's daughter to impersonate. Maybe it's the githzerai wizard-king, or Factol Erin Darkflame Montgomery of the Sensates.

What drastically has changed about Graz'zt?

Nothing that I can think of.

Is there anywhere I can get some decent expanding info on Infinite Staircase?

Here's another Infinite Staircase-related hook, and more here. There's really no limit to what you can discover on the Stair, as it reaches everywhere the imagination does, to places both real and not-so-real, past and future.

There's a a nice Story Hour on Enworld which focuses on Grazzt. In the accompanying Rogues Gallery thread there are alternate stats and some flavor for Grazzt.

TheSerge has also done alternate stats and very nice flavor for Grazzt on Dicefreaks.

And then there's this nice thread on canonfire, in which Grazzt's family tree is discussed.

Since the Realms now have a separate cosmology how do Planescape (two books that touch Planescape-Finder's Bane and Tymora's Luck) and Faerun interact? The Silver Stair is a Planescape device that was used during the Time of Troubles in Faerun. Is anyone else wondering this?

They don't. As I understand, they retconned all the older FR/PS references to have never happened. I'm sure Shemmy can unleash fiendish rage on the subject if we invoke him.

The Infinite Staircase and Sigil touch both cosmologies, and it's officially the same Staircase and the same Sigil in both.

There's also hints that Limbo touches both cosmologies, and the River Styx.

- which all makes it seem as if they're not really seperate in any meaningful sense at all.
