I quickly read over it. Looks good from here, but this hand of Rajaat thing is a bit of a far fetch isn't it...it's been 3000 years since Rajaat was "active", but on the other hand, like defiler and preserver, could have managed to survive trough the ages. The idea is cool though. I'm just thinking wether a prestige class would manage to survive that long....

Um....Thanks for the input on the Hand of Rajaat PrC, but this thread was intended for the so-ut mini conversions I made.

As for the PrC, it was meant more for use in the Green Age, not the present time period.

Cool miniatures, Sys.
I'd like to see the size of them in comparison to a human miniature.

I'll see what I can do. My buddy has a well painted Mul figure he uses for my campaign. I'll take some new pic's with his figure next to the rampagers.

I'm lazy, so I like the plastic, pre-painted minis that WotC has been releasing for awhile now.

Just wish they would release some dead world minis to some of the dead campaign settings they still have their grips on...

Plastic sucks- pewter rulzz!!!

Never bought a plastic mini and never will. I have alot of pewter minis that I use and I have also painted many of them- maybe I will get off my backside and take some pics of them and post them on my multiply site- who knows??

BTW- The conversions that you did Sysane do look cool - good job! I would like to see something closer though, due to the details being hard to make out.

Metals and plastics each have their perks and flaws. I use a lot of Games Workshop and Reaper figs in my converstions and mix both plastics and metals together.

Prepainted plastic ones are cheaper, ...prepainted, less fragile, lighter, and can be made to have thinner apendages and weapons. The only advantages I can see to unpainted metal miniatures is that you get to paint them yourself and metal miniatures take paint better than plastic ones. For those of us who don't want to spend the time to paint our own figures, or even those of us who just hate the monotony of painting 12 figures in almost the exact same way, prepainted plastic is far superior, so :P

I agree that the pre-painted minis have their uses- but I am set in my ways. If I do not have the minis that I want to use then I break out these yellow sticky notes that I kind of taped up into 1"x1" squares and numbered- not as cool, but the numbers do help me keep tract of emenies that are wounded- All of the PC's in my game have minis.

Nice minis. I've hand-assembled and painted a vast number of miniatures myself. Unfortunately, most are really only useable as "stand ins" for a creature in Dark Sun, as they most definitely were not designed for Dark Sun.

Did you use the Citadel Minatures putty to craft those? I noticed the bases definitely look very Warhammer-esque, and I think I see the basic Warhammer horse postures for the back and legs.

Thanks. I did use Citadel green putty and the bases are GW ones. The bottom halves of the so-uts are actually from a plastic rhino with dinosaur tails puttied onto them. The Heads are from a failed Wiz-kids clix game called Creepy Freaks where the arms are from warhammer 40k orks.

I plan on making a nightmare beast and Dregoth figures next.
